The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s basketball team win game two against Arlington Baptist University behind Jenna Price’s double-double. In 30 minutes of play, Price had 11 points, 18 rebounds, three assists, one block, and two steals in their 65-58 win.

The Lady Lions had four players land in double-digit scoring in Sydney Meador (10), Lexi Rich (12), Tamera Derrough (11) , and Price (11). Rich led the team with seven assists for a near double-double and Derrough had four steals for the Lady Lions. SAGU dominated this game winning three of the four quarters and won almost every statically category; shooting percentage, offensive rebounds, total rebounds, assists, blocks, and dead balls.

The Lady Lions will look to bump this winning streak to two on Friday when Baker University visits Waxahachie . They are led by guard, Caitlin Modessett from Texas who is leading them in scoring (17.00 ppg), rebounds (7.67), assists (4.33), and steals (3.67). Baker has played well in their first week of games beating Ottawa, St. Mary’s, and Friends all by double digits for a 3-0 record.


Southwestern Assemblies of God University is a private, Christian university located 30 minutes south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Waxahachie, Texas.
