Waxahachie, Texas – May 11, 2016 – This Fall 2016, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) will implement a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Leadership , both on-campus and online, that includes six hours of graduate course credit that is transferable to SAGU’s Harrison Graduate School and other graduate institutions.

The Pastoral Leadership program prepares students to serve as a pastor, evangelist, missionary and other various roles and positions within the church.

The program includes 127 hours total with 48 hours of major studies. Core studies include:

  • Hermeneutics

  • Family Life and Parenting

  • Pastoral Counseling

  • Ministry of Teaching

  • Church Resource Management

  • Biblical Preaching

  • Entrepreneurial Leadership

  • Leadership for Spiritual Formation

  • Christian Ethics

  • Biblical Preaching Laboratory

  • Systematic Theology I

  • Systematic Theology II

SAGU’s Master’s Fast Track replaces six credit hours with graduate level courses that provide students with a pathway to pursue Graduate level education either immediately upon graduation or in the future.
