Joel Griffin
Joel is a graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a B.A. in Music Performance and an M.M. in Theory/Composition at the Missouri State University and currently pursuing a PhD in Music Education from the University of North Texas. Joel has studied with: Randy Hamm, Dave Pietro, Kim Park, Bobby Watson, Dr. Charles Thelen, Dr. Phil C. Wise, and Dr. Michael F. Murray.
Tyrone Block
Tyrone attended the University of Arkansas-Monticello where he received his B.A. in music performance. He also attended the Armed Forces School of Music where he graduated first in his class. During this time he traveled with the United States Navy Show Band, and toured three continent. Block received his M.M. in performance from the University of North Texas with a related field in ethnomusicology.
Marcus Freeze
Marcus Freeze is from Bryan, TX and a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a B.A. in Instrumental Performance. He has studied with Phil McNeese and Roger Fratena of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He currently plays with, SAGU Faculty Jazz Combo, The Dallas AP Connection, Calvary Cathedral International Church of Ft. Worth and freelances in the DFW area. Marcus is currently of faculty at Southwestern Assemblies of God University where he teaches and coordinates the bass guitar studio.
Nathan Ziehm
Nathan is from Buffalo, NY and a student at Southwestern majoring in Music Performance. He has studied with legendary drummer Tim Pope as well as Sockton Helbing and Jesus Perez. Along with playing in the SAGU Faculty Jazz Combo he is a freelance musician in the DFW area.
Michael J. Bryan
Michael is from Seattle, WA and a student at SAGU majoring in Music Education. He has studied piano with Dr. Amanda Lee and Percussion with Jesus Perez. Along with playing in the SAGU Faculty Jazz Combo he is a freelance musician in the DFW area and on the music staff at The Potter's House of Dallas.
