Anthem
Anthem is one of SAGU's traveling worship bands. The group provides a capella and acoustic worship.
Anthem Members
Vanessa is from Colleyville, Texas, and is a junior, majoring in Elementary Education. Her home church is Colleyville A/G, pastored by Rev. Jeff Strickland. Vanessa has been involved in the SAGU Chorale for two years. She loves ministering musically and is looked forward to a great year in Anthem.
Randy was born in Dallas, Texas and has spent his whole life there. He has been singing since he was two and first started in choral music his Sophomore year of high school. Randy started singing for his church that same year. Along with singing, he loves sports like football, track, and playing ultimate Frisbee with friends.
Devin is from Conway, Arkansas, and is a sophomore majoring in Music Ministries. This is his first semester to participate in a SAGU traveling group. He plans on becoming a music minister following his graduation.
Devan is from Red Oak, Texas and is a sophomore majoring in Business and minoring in Music. She attends Living Church in Mansfield, Texas pastored by Dan Hunter. Devan plans on incorporating music and worship leading into her future in any way possible. This past summer, she ministered at several camps leading worship, and has always had a passion to sing.
Brandy is from Joshua, Texas, and is a freshman, majoring in vocal performance. Her home church is Shepherds Valley Cowboy Church, pastored by Russ Weaver. This is Brandy’s first year in Anthem, and she is planning on doing traveling music ministry on the side following graduation from SAGU. She spent the summer of 2010 preparing for Fine Arts and a mission trip to Shonto, Arizona where she did music.
Jesse is an MK from Japan, now residing in Sacramento, California. He is a freshman, majoring in World MInistries, and is in his second semester with Anthem. He doesn't know exactly where he will be once he graduates, but he knows he wants to do missions. He is co-leading a missions trip this summer to Southern Asia.
