Frontline Ministries
This is a student led organization that is made up of different need based ministries that work in local Waxahachie and Dallas to connect with people who do not know the love of God. Student involvement is voluntary and the ministries operate on a weekly basis along with special outreaches. The ministries consist of the following:
Cutting Edge: A relationship based ministry to the homosexual community in Dallas, specifically located in Oaklawn. Meeting on Friday nights, students build relationships and friendships with those involved or considering involvement in the homosexual lifestyle, offering them acceptance and the unconditional love of Christ.
Street Hope: A street ministry that works with Dallas shelters and soup kitchens on a weekly basis to reach the homeless community of Dallas, as well as other patrons of West End, Dallas. Whether it is buying a homeless person a McDonald’s meal, offering a care package to a single mom or holding a conversation with a business man at a bus stop, students have the opportunity to pray with and begin relationships with the unsaved in downtown Dallas.
Six.eight: Six.eight is based on Micah 6:8. A truly need based ministry that attempts to cooperate with the community leaders and business owners to help out the “less fortunate” individuals of Waxahachie. Through yard work, cookie bakes for WISD, local nursing home visits, Thanksgiving Food Drives and many other outreaches, this ministry represents the Body of Christ by being His hands and feet in practical ways.
Jesus Time: A children focused ministry that visits different locations in Waxahachie on Saturdays with a Sidewalk Sunday School type of format to reach out to the kids who do not have an opportunity to go to church on Sundays. With a puppet trailer and local church assistance, this ministry affects kids with fun, prizes, Bible teaching, games and love.
