Guynes Hall is a co-ed facility on the Southwestern campus, housing men (east wing) and women (west wing). The dorm was completed during the fall semester of 1995. A three-story building, most rooms provide double occupancy and form a suite with an adjoining dorm room. The two rooms are linked by a bathroom. Vanities with a sink are located in each room, along with a bunk, a chest of drawers, and a desk for each resident. Laundry facilities are available for residential use. Each room has a Microfridge, phone line and computer lines. Guynes also has several rooms specifically for students who are physically challenged.

Peggy Byrne moved from northern Virginia to be a full-time student in 1998. She served as a Resident Assistant for 3 years, and graduated with a B.S. in Professional Development in 2001. She was hired as a Dorm Pastor in 2001 and served for 2 years at (North Campus) Teeter Hall. When that facility was closed, she moved to Collins Hall and has worked there as D.P. for the last 3 years. Peggy realizes the importance of 'every day' in the life of a Christian young person, and she desires to lead the students in her influence to a deeper appreciation for God in every day life. "Where you look is where you land." Peggy's loves include music, mosaic art, and most recently, a love for gardening flowers.
