The SAGU Testing Center offers a variety of tests, each with unique requirements and fees. For more information about a specific test, please click the appropriate below.

College-Level Examination Program

CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) gives students the opportunity to receive college credit for information that is already known by earning qualifying scores on any of the 34 examinations. For more information about the CLEP test click here

  • Cost: $80 CLEP fee and a $15 Proctor fee.
  • Students must bring in two forms of identification (Driver’s License, Photo I.D., School I.D., Military I.D., etc.)
  • The student will need to contact the testing center, at least 2 days before wanting to take the exam, in order to schedule an appointment.

Accuplacer

The purpose of the Accuplacer test is to provide students with useful information about academic skills in math, English, and reading. The results of the assessment, in conjunction with a student’s academic background, goals, and interests, are used by academic advisors and counselors to determine course selection and is also used in the admissions process.   • Cost: $15 testing fee
  • Students must bring in a Photo I.D. (Student I.D., Driver’s License, etc.)
  • The student will need to contact the testing center, at least 2 days before wanting to take the exam, in order to schedule an appointment.

SAGU Student Testing (Makeup Exams)

If a SAGU student is in need of scheduling a makeup exam, they will need to have their instructor contact the testing center in order to provide detailed instructions for the exam. The instructor will also need to deliver the exam to the testing center.

The student will need to contact the testing center, at least 2 days before wanting to take the exam, in order to schedule an appointment.

  • Cost: $5 testing fee
  • Students must bring in their SAGU I.D.

Non-SAGU Student Testing: Members of the community can take advantage of the SAGU testing center. If a student is in need of scheduling an exam, they will need to contact the testing center at least 2 days before the desired date. The student must also have their professor contact the testing center in order to deliver the exam, and to also provide any special instructions for the proctor and student.

  • Cost $10
  • Students must bring in a Photo I.D. (School I.D., Driver’s License, etc.)

Distance Education 101 Exam

All on-campus students taking a DE course for the first time are required to take our Distance Education 101 Exam, and make a 100% on it. Students are allowed to take this online exam as many times as necessary in order to achieve the perfect score. In addition, students are allowed to use the study guide during the exam. The purpose of the exam isn’t to prevent students from taking DE courses but to ensure that they are capable of completing an online course successfully.

Graduate Comprehensive Exam

Graduate students who are in their last semester are required to take the Graduate Comprehensive exam. This is exam is proctored in the SAGU testing center, which offers 6 testing stations.
