Where is the ceremony held?
The ceremony will take place in the auditorium of the Sheaffer Center. Campus maps are available at www.sagu.edu.
What time do graduates need to be at the Sheaffer Center?
No later than 5:15 p.m.
Where do graduates need to go?
To the second floor of the Sheaffer Center next to the President’s Dining Room. Lineup will start at 5:15 p.m.
What time does graduation begin?
The ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.
How long is the ceremony?
Each commencement varies, but you should plan for an hour and a half ceremony.
What are the seating arrangements?
Auditorium seating will be available to guests with commencement tickets. Auditorium seating begins at 4:30 p.m. We will also have seating available in the cafeteria with a live video feed for guests without tickets.
Is handicapped seating available?
Yes. Ushers will be able to guide guests to those seats.
How do I order pictures?
Order forms are available in the graduation packets received during rehearsal. Also, Flash Photography should have a representative at commencement.
What time is rehearsal?
Graduates need to be at the Sheaffer Center auditorium at 11:45 a.m. for check in.
Do I have to attend rehearsal?
All graduates wishing to participate in the ceremony need to be at rehearsal.
What happens at rehearsal?
You will receive information about the ceremony. You will meet with the name readers to check pronunciation. We will adjust seating and practice walking.
Where can I pick up my regalia if I have not done so?
At the SAGU Bookstore on Sycamore Street.
Do I need to bring anything to rehearsal?
Master’s graduates need to bring their hoods to rehearsal.
