Technology Requirements
As the technology has evolved, so has the classroom. Students can achieve their dream of earning a college degree from the comfort of their own home. Being successful in distance education requires the right technological tools in order to:
- Access courses via the internet
- View and listen to course lectures and lesson materials
- Communicate with professors through SAGU email
- Complete and submit assignments and exams
- Check your grades
Below are the suggested basic computer requirements needed to complete a Distance Education course.
- Personal Computer (PC): Unfortunately, SAGU is unable to provide support for Mac computers
- High speed internet
- Internet Explorer 6 or 7 (available here)
- Windows Media Player 10 or 11 (available here)
- Latest version of Java (available here)
- Microsoft Office XP, 2003, or 2007
- Dependable antivirus program
- Adobe Reader (available here)
- Adobe Flash Player (available here)
Blackboard & Tegrity
First time students should complete the following "browser tests" to determine if their personal computer is compatible with Blackboard and Tegrity:
