Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s basketball

The Lady Wildcats jumped out to the early lead on SAGU and they never let up. With 3:45 left in the first half, Wiley was 14 points ahead.  SAGU was able to cut their lead to nine by halftime after Charity Page made a basket and one free throw, followed by Kayla Blise ’s two made free throws.

During the entire third quarter, WC was able to keep the Lady Lions to only eight points.

SAGU’s Charity Page scored 17 points and pulled in 17 points. Lexi Rich scored 11 points. Alexus McAfee had three steals for the Lady Lions.

Wiley’s Alexis Bernstine scored 14 points and had 12 rebounds. Anika Nottingham scored 12 points and Arial Taylor came off the bench to score 12 points as well.

The Lady Lions will have a week break before traveling to play University of the Ozarks on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.  This will be their season opener.
