Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) women’s soccer Sooner Athletic Conference Bacone College

There was only one goal scored in the first half and it happened in the third minute of play by SAGU’s Nadine Jaimes .

The remainder of the half was scoreless from both sides, despite SAGU’s 16 shots.

In the second half, the Lady Lions once again came out of the gates ready to play.  In the 46 th minute, Nadine Jaimes assisted Laura Sturgeon in her first goal of the game.  A little over ten minutes later, Sturgeon scored again.

With three minutes left in the game, SAGU’s Nadine Jaimes scored her second goal of the game and her 19 th goal of the year.  She is now ranked 11 in the nation in the NAIA, she also leads the SAC in goals scored.

Jaimes had five shots on goal and Sturgeon had four shots on goal.  Goalkeeper Kathleen Espinoza had four saves for SAGU.

Bacone’s Stacy Buckner had 15 saves with four goals allowed.

The Lady Lions have one more regular season game on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at John Brown University .  Game time is at 1pm.
