Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) volleyball University of Northwest Ohio

In the first set, the Lady Lions came from behind to tie the score at 20 after a kill by Summer Skillern .  SAGU went on to have two errors in a row, followed by two UNWO kills to win the set, 25-20.

In the second set, SAGU made a run for it and Paulyae Dawkins came up big with four kills in SAGU’s last five points.  The Lady Lions topped UNWO 25-16 in set two.

In the last two sets SAGU was close, but they were unable to overcome some costly errors.

Junior Summer Skillern had 12 kills and Paulyae Dawkins added 11. Sophia Ivy had 25 assists.  Sophomore Kali Shaw had 15 digs and Celi Bruce added 13.

Both SAGU and UNWO had 39 kills for the night.  SAGU had 28 errors compared to UNWO’s 20.

SAGU will travel to the Oklahoma Wesleyan Tournament on August 26-27, 2016.  On Friday they play College of the Ozarks at 11am and Langston University at 1pm.  On Saturday they play Sterling College at 11am and Wiley College at 3pm.
