Waxahachie, Texas – April 21, 2017 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) was recently recognized in College Choice’s list of “Best Online Bachelor’s in Elementary Education for 2017.”
The Teacher Education Department at SAGU offers a flexible, online Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education which leads to Texas teacher certification. Students will learn to design and implement elementary instruction and assessment based on state curriculum guidelines and develop appropriate classroom management strategies. Coursework in the program is offered 100% online.
Students pursuing Elementary Education can concentrate in teaching Social Studies, Science, Math and Creative Writing for Elementary.
In addition, new Education majors earning a degree on campus will receive a $1,000 scholarship per year ($500 each semester), renewable for the length of their degree. Recipients must maintain GPA and major eligibility requirements.
College Choice compiled these ranking based on several factors that reflect academic excellence and return on investment. Starting with standard academic reputation rankings, College Choice then weighs factors such as program tuition, early career earnings, and school acceptance rates.
Alongside SAGU, College Choice listed schools such as Regis University, LeTourneau University and Mississippi State University.
