Waxahachie, Texas- September 24, 2015- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s soccer team pulled off another victory after topping Huston-Tillotson University (HTU) 3-1.  Senior Robert Ambrosie scored all three of SAGU’s goals.  The Lions are now 4-3-1.

HTU struck first, when Wyssam Zaban scored in the 16 th minute after a SAGU foul.  This was the Rams lone goal.

Head Coach Clem Oancea praised the boys focus after allowing that initial goal, “They knew what they had to do to turn around the mistake we made when we gave up the PK.  They collectively pushed to make sure that the result turned in our favor.”

Six minutes later senior Parker Sturgeon assisted Ambrosie in his first goal of the night, tying the score 1-1.  The game remained tied going into halftime.

In the 54 th minute of play, Ambrosie struck again off of an assist by Isai Bonilla .

With 15 minutes left in play, Ambrosie completed the hat trick.  After a pass from Sturgeon, Ambrosie scored the final goal of the night.

SAGU goalkeeper Cesar Espana had seven saves while allowing one goal.  Ambrosie now has seven goals for the season.

The Lions will play Oklahoma City University on Tuesday, September 29, 2015.  OCU is currently 0-5.  OCU will be the first Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) game for SAGU.
