Students receive Making THE Difference Scholarships

Making THE Difference ScholarshipWaxahachie, TX - November 10, 2011 - Nine Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) students have been awarded Making THE Difference (MTD) Scholarships. A total of $120,000 in MTD Scholarships have been awarded to 116 students representing the 18 Assemblies of God colleges and universities located across the United States. MTD Scholarships are made available by the Assemblies of God Trust and the AG Alliance for Higher Education.

Vice President for Enrollment and Retention Eddie Davis says, “We appreciate the AGTrust and the AG Alliance for providing these scholarships. Scholarships of any size make a difference whether or not a student enrolls or continues their studies at an Assemblies of God university.”

“Training young leaders is one of the major initiatives of AGTrust in our effort to empower future generations for the task of fulfilling the Great Commission,” says Dr. George O. Wood, chairman of AGTrust and General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God.

“We are investing in these young people through scholarships because we believe they will effectively reach multiplied thousands of people for Christ if Jesus delays His coming, and will help build the kingdom of God in their generation.”

Making THE Difference scholarships are awarded annually to students selected by the 18 individual Assemblies of God schools as AGTrust funds are available. Listed below are the 2011 Making THE Difference scholarship recipients from Southwestern Assemblies of God University:
