Waxahachie, Texas- November 16, 2015- Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) kicker Chadd Dearen has been named the Central States Football League Special Teams Player of the Week .  This is the fourth time Dearen has received the honor for the 2015 season.

In SAGU’s 48-26 win over Bacone College , Dearen scored six points for the Lions as he hit six PAT’s.  He also had four punts for 132 yards and had a long punt of 45 yards.  The junior kicked off eight times with a long kick of 65-yards, and averaged 55.4 yards on kick-offs.

Dearen, a junior from Rowlett, Texas, is currently nationally ranked in seven different categories in the NAIA.  He ranks fourth in field goals, total scoring (kicking, 84) and scoring (kicking) per game (8.4 points).  Dearen ranks no. five in total field goals (14), 22 in punt yards per attempts (39.7), 26 th in field goals percent (0.667) and 27 in Pat Kicking Pct (0.955).

On Saturday, Dearen and his teammates will play one final game of the season.  The Lions will host the NCCAA Victory Bowl and will play University of Northwestern (Minnesota).  UNW is a NCAA Division III school with a record of 8-2.  The Lions will play Saturday, November 21, 2015 at noon.
