Spring 2010 Semester Begins at SAGU

SAGU students returned to campus this weekend for the Spring 2010 semester. Undergraduate on-campus classes began Tuesday, January 12. Students returned to find a now open Garrison Wellness Center. Many students and staff members have already utilized the 31,650 square foot facility.

Bryan Jarrett, pastor of Northplace Church in Sacshe, Texas, spoke in the semester’s opening chapel. The chapel included a special prayer over the Education students who are student-teaching this semester.

Jarrett challenged students from Romans 12 to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and continue steadfastly in prayer. Throughout the semester, a number of chapels are streamed live through the SAGU website. Click here for a chapel streaming schedule.

In campus life, Student Congress will host the Spring All School Fellowship on Saturday, January 16. The fellowship includes free food and various prizes. In addition, both the men’s and women’s basketball seasons are underway.
