Campus Improvements Include Dorm Renovations

Crews are working on a number of updates and renovations to the SAGU campus this summer, including three of the dorms. As the school year draws closer, the available dorm space continues to fill. Students are encouraged to make their dorm reservations immediately, as dorm space is limited.

Renovations and upgrades are being made in Guynes, Savell, and Collins residential halls. Guynes Hall is the recipient of new carpet and furniture in the lobby as well as new desk chairs in all the dorm rooms.

Savell Hall is receiving a number of upgrades. Crews have applied fresh paint throughout the building, including hallways, lobbies, prayer rooms, dorm rooms, and bathrooms. Carpeting is also being replaced throughout. Savell will now have can lighting fixtures in the hallways and there are 130 new mattresses. On the exterior, Savell has new patio furniture and the parking has been redone.

The parking lot by Collins Hall has also been updated. Collins also has new lobby and patio furniture. The bathrooms within Collins have been completely gutted and remodeled. In addition, there is a new laundry room with new washers and dryers.
