Southwestern Assemblies of God University announces Texas Book Company as new providerWaxahachie, TexasApril 19, 2012Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) has announced Texas Book Company (TBC) as its new supplier for SAGU’s on-campus bookstore.

“We are very pleased to have Texas Book Company as our new SAGU Bookstore operator,” said SAGU’s Senior Director of Business Services Jimmie Lamb. “They bring a renewed emphasis upon bringing great customer service to SAGU students.”

“They are one of the industry leaders in helping students lower their educational cost by providing an excellent supply of used textbooks,” he continued.

Texas Book Company began serving the academic community in 1975. TBC is now one of the nation’s largest wholesale textbook companies, serving thousands of college bookstores in all 50 states. The corporate office and distribution center is located in Greenville, Texas.

“Texas Book Company is proud to add SAGU to our elite family of college campus bookstores, and we promise you the highest level of customer satisfaction,” said Vice President of College Bookstores Darren Croom. “TBC’s service flexibility is perfectly suited for SAGU’s distinctive community, and personal approach to student services.”

The transition will be complete on June 4th. TBC has begun ordering new product and planning changes to the bookstore interior. The new bookstore website is expected to be fully functional on the first day of business.

“One of the things we are most pleased about is that TBC has committed to retaining the current staff of the Bookstore,” said Lamb. “We believe Landon Orrill and his staff are a great asset to the campus. TBC offers a great staff development program for their employees.”
