SAGU to Host First-Hand "Eurasia Experience"

The SAGU Missions Department is hosting an “Eurasia Experience” event on March 31. The Eurasia Experience is a cross-cultural, multi-sensory journey that includes the sights, smells and sounds of Eurasian life. One session will be held during SAGU chapel at 10:15. There will also be a session open to the community at 7:00 p.m.

Straddling two continents, the Eurasia region includes the people groups and countries of the former Soviet Union, the Indian subcontinent and its neighboring islands, and the Middle East, North Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula. Countries within Eurasia include Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Latvia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Libya, Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka.

At the Eurasia Experience participants will hear real stories straight from Eurasia’s 44 countries and territories. Many of these accounts cannot be broadcast because of restrictive situations. The unique opportunity to learn what God is doing makes the Eurasia Experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The event allows participants to step into the shoes of a missionary, blending as best they can into foreign culture from halfway around the world. Walk into a bustling city scene. Hear and feel the commotion of a crowded bazaar. Interact with people who have never had a chance to hear the message of Jesus.
