Waxahachie, TX- June 20,2014- The lady lions have signed two recruits that could make an instant impact on the court this winter.  Dy’Tessha Diggles comes to SAGU from Desoto High School in Desoto, Texas.  Diggles is a six foot post player that has a quite the basketball resume.  While playing in the toughest high school conference in Texas (7-5A) she helped lead her team to 74 wins in three years. 

Desoto High School coach Larry Goad states, “Dy’Tessha is the consummate team player.  She plays bigger than six foot.  She has an excellent jump shot and she is a player who does not like to lose”. 

Meghan Becker is a five foot nine guard transferring from Casper Junior College in Casper, Wyoming.  Becker went to high school at Mullens High School in Denver, Colorado where she had a career highlight of scoring 30 points against her school rival.

Coach  Arlon Beadles says, “Meghan is an experienced player who will be a top guard in the Sooner Athletic Conference.  She has played at a high college level already and I look forward to her being a real leader on our team”. 

The 2013-2014 season was the first one in the Sooner Athletic Conference.  The Lady Lions went 8-12 in conference games and ended the season with a record of 14-16 in the regular season.
