Waxahachie, Texas- June 17, 2014- The Southwestern Assemblies of God University(SAGU) volleyball lions are preparing for a missions trip to Costa Rica next month. 13 players and one coach will be traveling to San Jose, Costa Rica to work with SCORE International.

The week long missions trip will be spent working with children at various orphanages. The team will be conducting volleyball clinics as well as various outreaches. While in Costa Rica the team will also be playing exhibition games against the Costa Rican National Team.

The volleyball team is raising money to help fund the trip. On Sunday, July 20, 2014 they will be holding a car wash in Midlothian at the Citizens National Bank on 1021 E Main Street. The car wash will be from 12-5pm and donations will be accepted.

SCORE began as a sports ministry, but quickly expanded to a global missions ministry. SCORE now works to equip and mobilize participants to fulfill the great commission, share God’s love, and offer short-term missions experience for groups.
