Lady Lions in RRAC Tourney

SAGU takes on Texas Wesleyan at 1:00pm

BROWNSVILLE, Texas  --  The Southwestern Assemblies of God University women's volleyball team, in the Red River Athletic Conference tournament for the eighth consecutive season, play today in a 1:00pm (CST) quarterfinal.

Fans can tune-in and catch the action live via webcast.

SAGU, 18-12 overall, faces rival Texas Wesleyan University, 15-16, in the quarterfinals. The best-of-five match will be played on the campus of the University of Texas at Brownsville, which is within sight of the Rio Grande River.

Should coach Hank Moore's Lady Lions advance this afternoon, they will tangle with the top-seeded UT-Brownsville (24-2) at 7:00 p.m. That match will also broadcast via webcast.

The championship of the RRAC tourney, also aired, will be played at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. To earn a berth in the NAIA national playoffs, the Lady Lions need to go 3-0 this weekend.
