SAGU makes home debut next weekend
Southwestern's long awaited home opener is next weekend, March 30 and 31, at the team's new on-campus ballpark.
They will take on Huston-Tillotson University at 3:00pm (CST) on Friday. Head Coach Tim Grant's team hosts the HT Lady Rams (3-16 record) in a noon doubleheader the next day.
SAGU (4-8) hopes to finalize make-up dates with Texas College (0-20) before the regular season concludes.
The Lady Lions have added a player, Gabby Bruner (Peaster, Tx / Peaster HS), for the stretch run of the schedule. A senior, Bruner has been a starter on the women's basketball team for four years.
She played prep softball at Peaster High School, which is located near Weatherford, west of Fort Worth.
