Senior earns second national Player of the Week award

mbb-rambo-2WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  Dominique Rambo collected his second National Player of the Week award this season, this one from the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

The honor was for his performance last week when the Lions went 3-0 with victories over Southwestern Christian University (W 79-66), Texas Wesleyan University (W 86-80) and the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (W 80-71).

Rambo, who is from Dallas, played his prep career at Trinity Christian School in nearby Cedar Hill, Texas.

According to the NCCAA’s Media and Communications Coordinator, Allie Johns, Rambo averaged 20.3 during the three outings. He added 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 7.0 assists in those games.

The announcement added: Rambo’s consistent and strong play in all areas on the court showed in this week’s wins, which improved the team record (at the time) to 12-1.

The NCCAA has over 100 members from the NAIA and both the NCAA’s Division 2 and D3.
