SHAWNEE, Oklahoma  --  In the first league game for Southwestern Assemblies of God University, behind the explosive play of Dominique Rambo (Dallas, Tx / Trinity Chr CH, Ok Wesleyan Univ )) to topple Oklahoma Baptist University, 89-76, at the Mabee Center.

The Lions, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA, got an idea that Rambo was clicking on all cylinders when he scored their first 15 points. He had 21 by halftime.

SAGU (8-1) trailed OBU 24-17 in the first half before reeling off 10 unanswered points to take a lead they would never relinquish. At intermission they held a 36-31 advantage.

Oklahoma Baptist took the women's game, rolling past the Lady Lions by a 75-40 count.

Both games were broadcast in livestream video.

SAGU will be back in action on Saturday afternoon, January 4, when they welcome Mid-America Christian University to the Sheaffer Center. The Lady Lions (6-5) will play the Lady Evangels (8-3) at 3:00pm. The Lions tangle with MACU (7-2) at 5:00pm.
