All ten players score, seven drain treys in SAGU debut

Point Parade: Gentry 21, Mills 17, O'Neill 15, Feemster 13

WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  After a near-packed Sheaffer Center crowd set off an avalanche of snowballs upon the team's first basket, a three-pointer by Caleb Gentry (Hondo, Tx / Hondo HS, Ok Wesleyan Univ ), the Southwestern Assemblies of God University buried Dallas Christian College, 95-62, in a barrage of triples.

The third annual "Texas Snowstorm," a fun-filled tradition for SAGU fans, briefly interrupted the game under a wave of white ping pong balls.

The interruption cost the team a technical foul and led to a brief 6-3 lead for the Crusaders. Gentry and the No. 5 ranked Lions quickly seized the upper hand and never looked back.

Third-year Head Coach Donnie Bostwick played two five-man rotations throughout the game, with everyone getting almost sixteen minutes or more on the court.

SAGU pulled away from a 40-26 lead by scoring the final seven points of the half. The Lions made 18 of their 36 shots with Gentry leading the troops with 14.

The second half witnessed the team begin finding the range from beyond the arc, making ten treys in stretching the lead to 35. SAGU finished with 13 trifectas.

A complete review of the game will be posted, along with action photos.

Gentry was the game's top scorer with 21. Freshman Daniel Mills (Belton, Tx / Belton HS) added 17, including a breakaway jam.

A pair of juniors, Clayton O'Neill (Halletsville, Tx / Halletsville HS) and Caleb Feemster (Addison, Tx / Trinity Chr-Addison, Ranger College) bucketed 15 and 13 points respectively.
