LAKEWOOD, Colorado  --  Two schools that are only separated by a thirty-minute drive will meet nearly 700 miles away for the right to play in the NCCAA Nationals next week in Northern Indiana.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University (25-9), the #2 seed at the Central Regionals in Denver, will take on top-seeded Dallas Baptist University (17-13) tonight at 6:00pm (CST).

The teams haven't played each other since the spring of 2010. That year at the Central Regionals at SAGU, the Lions shocked the top-seeded Patriots, 92-87, in front of a partisan and packed house at the Sheaffer Center.

DBU was the top-seed and ranked #1 in the regional field. SAGU was 12-18 and seeded eighth. James Ford (28 points) and Ronald Horne (21 pts) were the hot hands as Southwestern knocked down 13 three-pointers to win a huge game between the neighboring schools.

The Patriots won the NCCAA championship in 2011, and are the defending national champs.

Winners at six regionals, along with two at-large teams, will play at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana during March 14-17 in the National Christian College Athletic Association nationals.

A year ago the SAGU Lady Lions lost in the regionals yet were awarded a berth at nationals due to their high ranking. They regouped to go 2-1 in Indiana to finish third.
