Football and Baseball Lions in Town Tonight

WAXAHACHIE, Texas -- The annual intra-squad spring scrimmage by the Southwestern Assemblies of God University football team is slated for tonight at Lumpkins Stadium. The SAGU Lions baseball squad has a home game this evening at the Waxahachie Sports Complex. Both begin at 6:00pm.

The football team will play a brief, controlled scrimmage that concludes their spring camp.

While seeing the scrimmage may be a challenge due to the construction going on at Lumpkins, the baseball team welcomes fans for their game which has a free general admission.

Can You Say Schexneider?

The Lions were scheduled to play Arlington Baptist College this evening at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, the home of the Air Hogs minor league baseball team. ABC ran into a scheduling conflict with the facility, forcing the game to be relocated.

The home for SAGU baseball, the Waxahachie Sports Complex is located on Broadhead (which has an exit on 287 just east of hwy 77 / Main Street into town). It is across the street from Show Biz theatre and Whataburger. Once inside the large athletic complex, fans should drive to the far right to the baseball park. There is covered seating as well as adjacent concessions and restroom amenities.

Lefthander Trevor Schexneider (Elizabethtown, Ky / Elizabethtown HS) is scheduled to make his second start of the season for Southwestern.
