Alumnus serves as associate film producerWaxahachie, Texas — April 26, 2013 — Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) alumnus Donovan Fulkerson served as associate producer for the Roebuck Media feature film "CAMP." He is also the founder of the production company Relicwood Media and the author of the book “Sin’s Cure: No More Picking Fruit, Destroying the Root."

"I believe that you can earn the right to speak about Christ through excellence in your field of work. My area is media and film. When people achieve excellence in their craft and put God in the center, others will respect their craft and be open to hearing about the Gospel."

The film "CAMP" is based on true stories from Royal Family Kids Camps (RFKC) nationwide. Fulkerson said, "The film 'Camp' will challenge and inspire you to reevaluate your life. The kids who attend Royal Family Kids Camps are the forgotten members of our society." RFKC is the nation’s leading network of camps for abused, neglected and abandoned children. SAGU will host its third camp during Summer 2013.

In 2011, Fulkerson founded the production company Relicwood Media. The company produces short and feature films, business commercials, design websites, logos, specialty graphics and social media. It also has a professional photography division. Relicwood Media produced the state tourism videos for Roswell, N.M. and is currently producing “The Roswell Project,” a feature film based on the "true events" that took place in the 1947 UFO crash.

Fulkerson explained that the name "Relicwood" is intended to denote a spiritual connection. He said, "Relics are artifact representing powerful spiritual activity, and wood points to the cross. Then name Relicwood provides an opportunity to discuss Christianity."

Fulkerson is the author of “Sin’s Cure: No More Picking Fruit, Destroying the Root," published in 2011. The book can be purchased through his website at www.donovanfulkerson.com or through other major digital ordering formats such as Amazon, iBooks and Kindle.

Fulkerson was raised in Roswell, N.M. He enrolled at SAGU in 1991 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in church ministries in 1995. He met his wife Karen while traveling with the SAGU musical group The Harvesters. They have two children: Christian, 13, and McKenzie, 10.
