SAGU hosts #20 Oklahoma City in noon finale on Monday

ws-seniors-2013WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  The 2013 soccer season is coming to a close in the coming days. But there are still two games remaining, one in Fort Worth on Saturday night and the finale at home on Monday afternoon.

Southwestern Assemblies of God University’s women’s team, while trying to put the skids to a long losing streak, has plenty to play for at as their season winds down.

The Lady Lions (3-14) will look to earn their first road victory when they take on Texas Wesleyan University (10-4-2) at Martin Field (shown in photo below) at 5:00pm on Saturday.

Directions: From Interstate Highway 30: Exit Beach Street, approximately two miles east of downtown Fort Worth. Travel south on Beach Street, then take a left on Lancaster Avenue (State Hwy. 180). Martin Field will be on your right side less than a mile from Beach Street.

On the heels of losing their last two games to nationally ranked teams in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Lady Rams failed to score in either match. That is after notching 47 goals in their first 14 games. They have permitted just 12 to their opponents.

SAGU has netted six and allowed 37.

The contest will cap the regular season for the Lady Ewes (Rams), who own a 7-0 lead in the series.

On Monday they play Oklahoma City University (11-4) at home at noon. The Lady Stars are ranked No. 20 in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll.
