HOBBS, New Mexico  --  The Southwestern Assemblies of God University women's basketball team defeated the host University of the Southwest, 51-46, this afternoon. Chelsea Jones and Stephanie Hawkins accounted for 14 and 13 points respectively, while Sierra Hankins netted eight points and grabbed nine rebounds for the fourth straight game.

The triumph improved SAGU's record to 16-5. In the Red River Athletic Conference the Lady Lions are now 11-2. The Southwest ledger fell to 5-14 and 3-10.

Team Lioness will play again on Monday, January 31, when Texas Wesleyan University (18-3, 10-3) visits the Sheaffer Full Life Center. The Lady Rams beat Paul Quinn College (3-19, 0-13) today, 83-69.
