Waxahachie, Texas — August 14, 2013 — Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) broke ground on the Hagee Communication Center (HCC) on Friday, April 27, 2012. Offices relocating to the facility moved in on August 12, 2013, and classes will begin in September.

Now that the exterior brickwork has been completed, much progress is being made on the interior of the HCC. Last week, 3i Construction installed the equipment and furniture for Einstein's Bagels. Currently, 3i is installing carpet and ceilings in the west wing of the building.

SAGU will receive new furniture for the faculty offices and classrooms the week of August 19th. 3i Construction will pour concrete for the courtyard, front steps, south entrance, sidewalks, and parking lot before the end of the month.

The dedication will likely take place during Homecoming in October.

To date, $13.5 million has been committed toward the $21 million project. The Alumni association is raising funds for the auditorium seating. Donors have the opportunity to place their name on a seat or row they have purchased.
