SAGU sports update: March 19, 2014
Waxahachie, Texas — March 19, 2014 — SAGU Men's Basketball team arrived in Kansas City, Missouri, for its third shot at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) title. The Lion's first game is Thursday, March 20, at 4:30 p.m. vs. St. Catharine (Ky).

SAGU Women’s Basketball fell, 72-44, to Oklahoma Christian University. The semifinal loss at the National Christian College Athletic Association’s Central Regional ended the season for the Lady Lions.
SAGU guard Nia Winston, the leading scorer in the Sooner Athletic Conference, was recently named to the National Christian College Athletic Association’s (NCCAA) All-Region Team. She averaged 19.03 points per game for SAGU during their 14-17 season. She ranks No. 19 in the nation in the NAIA.
The SAGU baseball team won the first game on the March 14 doubleheader at Mid-America Christian University's James Curtis Field, 1-0, to even the three-game series at a game each. The following day, the Lions finished and won both ends of the Mid-America Christian University doubleheader, 1-0 and 6-5.
The Lady Lions will play against Northwood University on Thursday, March 20, at 2 p.m. in Cedar Hill.
