The Lady Lions rolled to an 87-43 triumph over Northwood, who play their home games at Trinity Christian School. With 13 players scoring the Purple Pride led from the outset.

SAGU was led by Nia Winston, who had 20 points, and two others in double figures.

As a team the Lady Lions made 51% of their shots and limited the Lady Knights to 28%.

Winning their second straight game improved SAGU's record to 10-9 overall. They are 4-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The triumph raised their road record to 6-4.

They will complete the first round in the SAC when they travel on Thursday to meet Wayland Baptist University (8-8 / 5-2 in SAC).

The Lions claimed the men's game as well.

After holding a 38-36 halftime lead, SAGU reeled off the first 13 points of the second half en route to a 92-84 win. The Knights never got closer than six points the rest of the way.

No. 1 ranked SAGU, now 16-1 in all games and 9-0 in the league, extended their lead to 75-59 with 6:59 to play.

Northwood, whose three-game winning streak came to an end, held their own inside, holding a 47-45 edge on the boards.

They had little answer to the Lions' backcourt. SAGU knocked down seven three-point baskets in each half.

Dominique Rambo hit five triples, all but one in the second half. He finished with 25 points and, despite defensive pressure throughout, made just one turnover.

Caleb Gentry added 18 points.

The game included 63 fouls and 97 free throws.
