HAWKINS, Texas  --  The Southwestern Assemblies of God University women's basketball team got past Jarvis Christian College by the slimmest of margins tonight in East Texas. The Lady Lions won 60-59 to improve their overall record to 12-3 and are now 7-0 in league play. The Lady Bulldogs are 6-6 in all games and 2-5 in the RRAC.

The Lions came up short in a high scoring affair, with Jarvis claiming a 96-90 triumph. SAGU is now 3-9 overall and 1-6 in the RRAC. JCC is 7-9 and 4-3.

Both teams are off until this Saturday night when they play host to Huston-Tillotson University at 5:30pm and 7:30pm. Both games will be broadcast by video streaming in high definition.
