Volleyball, Soccer and Football's biggest October moments!
WAXAHACHIE, Texas -- Fans of Southwestern Assemblies of God University sports should check out the latest Facebook entry on the SAGU Sports Live fan page.
Director Tim Roberts and the crew have created and uploaded the Top 5 Plays from October.
Relive the moments of a fiercely fought point by the Lady Lions volleyball team in their dual with Southern Nazarene University.
The l-o-n-g volley had some incredible spikes, a pancake save and some fabulous digs sure to be a spine-chiller supreme! Watch the reaction of the crowd!
Then, a penalty kick save by the Lady Lions sophomore goalie Haley Shingleton (Pasadena, Tx / Deer Park HS) to protect a 1-0 win over New Mexico’s University of the Southwest. She's a keeper!
Be there to witness Jessica Sodich (Arlington, Tx / Ovilla Christian) detonate an assist from Taylor Calverley (Mansfield, Tx / Grace Prep) that ricocheted into the stands that decided a 28-26 win over Southern Nazarene. You’ll rewind to watch it again! But a word of caution... wear asbestos gloves!
Go back to the football 41-0 win over Haskell University at homecoming.
Junior quarterback Reid Golson (Grandview, Tx / Howard Payne University, Grandview HS) did his impersonation of RG3 with an electrifying 80-yard touchdown run. Watch it from field level, including a stiff-arm along the sideline and his slide into the end zone.
Could he be RG10 ?
Finally, in one play on the soccer pitch, watch the Lions score a scintillating goal you will have to see to believe! No wonder they saved it 'til last. The #1 play is worth waiting for!
Senior striker Danny Martinez (Houston, Tx / Cypress-Creek HS) goes all-out for a flying header of a long pass from freshman Lee Kounas (Dallas, Tx / Townview HS).
He boinks it off his noggin' past a defenseless goalie! It was one of two goals by him in his final home game.
The HD footage comes with great music and the voices of play-by-play host, Rob Price; “Are you kidding me!?” and color analyst Tim Roberts.
Spread the word! This is a site for sore eyes!
