Women's Soccer lone SAGU winner

Weekend Sports Update

WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  All four of Southwestern Assemblies of God University fall sports teams were in action this weekend, playing a total of five opponents on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Lions soccer team were the only one to produce a victory, adding to their best-ever win total. Full details will appear here tonight in the order the games were played.

The results, chronologically, are as follows:

VOLLEYBALL:
The Lady Lions (14-11) fall in straight sets, 3-0, at UT-Brownsville (19-0), 25-13, 25-9 and 25-19.

WOMEN’S SOCCER:
SAGU (6-11) defeats the University of the Southwest (3-9-1), 1-0.

MEN’S SOCCER:
Southwest (7-7-1) scores three late goals to break a 2-2 tie, defeats SAGU (6-11) 5-2.

FOOTBALL:
Wayland Baptist University (2-5) tops SAGU (2-5) in Plainview, 58-37.

VOLLEYBALL:
SAGU (14-12) swept 3-0 at Our Lady of the Lake University (11-13), 22-25, 23-25, 23-25.
