Waxahachie, Texas — October 9, 2012 — This past weekend, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) Women's Basketball Coach Arlon Beadles was honored at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga. The college dedicated their new athletic facility to Beadles and will be displaying a mural of him in the lobby.


The Lady Lions (10-10 overall) won 3-2 against the University of St. Thomas in Houston on Oct. 6. On Oct. 8, they won 3-0 against Mid-America Christian University. Tonight, the Lady Lions will play the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, at 7 p.m. Their next home game will be on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. against Hudson-Tillotson University.

The Homecoming football game will be on Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. The Lions will play Haskell University from from Lawrence, Kansas. The game will be streamed on SAGU.tv.


The SAGU soccer teams will play Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio on Oct. 11. The Lions play at 1 p.m. and the Lady Lions play at 3 p.m.
