Waxahachie, Texas — October 3, 2012 — Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) men’s and women’s soccer teams played doubleheaders against Texas College on Monday, October 1 in Tyler, Texas. Both teams celebrate victories against the Steers; the men's team won 4-1 and the women's team won 2-1.

With the win, the men's team improved their record to 5-6 in all games and are now 1-3 in the Red River Athletic Conference.

The Lady Lion's soccer team also celebrates a victory against Texas College. Audrea Davila (Grand Prairie, Tx / South GP HS) scored the game-winning goal in the second half, breaking a 1-1 halftime tie.

The women and men's soccer teams will have another game on Thursday, October 4. Wiley College, of Marshall, Texas, will visit Waxahachie. The men will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the women’s game at 3:00 pm.


The Lady Lions return home to face Mid-American Christian University on Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m. in the Scheaffer Center gymnasium. The match will be aired on SAGU Sports Live.
