Waxahachie, TXFebruary 24, 2012 – This March SAGU will host its 2012 Spring Break Soccer Camp. During the camp, students ages 6 to 12 will have the opportunity to learn from coaches  Clementin Oancea and Mandy Fortner as well as award-winning athletes from the men's and women's soccer teams.

The 2012 Spring Break Soccer Camp will be held at SAGU's historic campus in Waxahachie, Texas, March 12-16. Activities last from 9:00-12:00 p.m. each day.

Clementin Oancea is Head Men’s Soccer Coach at SAGU. Coach Oancea was born in Romania where he began his professional career at the age of 16 when he signed with the professional soccer club Muresal Deva. He continued his professional soccer career in the U.S. and began coaching young players in and around the Dallas area. He is the Director of coaching for FC-Dallas-South Division and is an FC Dallas Academy Coach. Coach Clem holds a UEFA B and a USSF National coaching badge. Coach Clem helped to lead the men’s program to their first ever NCCAA Central Region Championship and first trip to the NCCAA National tournament in 2011.

Mandy Fortner is Head Women’s Soccer Coach at SAGU. Coach Fortner played college soccer for Navarro Junior College and Dallas Baptist University, where she was ranked nationally as a goal scorer and named First Team All-American. During her first season as head coach in 2011, Fortner brought the women’s team to its first post-season win at the NCCAA Central Region Tournament.

According to Coach Clementin Oancea, "This is a unique soccer camp opportunity that combines international training with high-level professional soccer training."

Coach Mandy Fortner explains, "The program is open to kids from 6 years old and up who are interested in fun, intense soccer training sessions by professional and experienced UEFA & USSF Licensed coaches."

Event highlights include the new "Soccer Tennis Tournament," daily soccer training (e.g. footwork, agility, small sided games), interactive soccer, and social activities including a family BBQ.

The $95 tuition includes daily soccer training by professional, licensed coaches and technical staff for three hours daily, daily tennis training competition, a 2012 Spring Break Soccer Camp t-shirt, and "Farewell Party" with music and food.
