SAGU plays Saturday at Wayland

PLAINVIEW, Texas  -- Southwestern Assemblies of God University will begin a stretch of three straight Saturday's as the homecoming opponent for teams in college football. 

They will begin with a 2:00pm (CST) start against Wayland Baptist University at Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldog Stadium in the High Plains of Texas, just north of Lubbock.

The Pioneers are playing football for the first time in 72 years. At 1-5, the match-up with SAGU (2-4) figures to be a very good one.

The Lions will play at Oklahoma Panhandle State University (3-3) and Langston University (3-3) the next two Saturdays.

They will wrap-up the season at home on November 10 with Texas College coming to Waxahachie. The season finale will be aired live and in high definition by SAGU Sports Live.
