Baseball Lions Change Game Time for March 2

SAGU plays at Reverchon Park on Wednesday

WAXAHACHIE, Texas  --  Originally announced for an afternoon start, the March 2nd college baseball doubleheader between Southwestern Assemblies of God University and the host Dallas Christian College will now begin at noon, according to Head Coach Greg Hayes.

SAGU and the Crusaders split a doubleheader last month in a twinbill that was to be played at Oak Lawn's Reverchon Park. Heavy rains forced to game elsewhere. With no suitable ballpark available, the squads agreed to play on Southwestern's practice field, where each team took a 2-1 victory. The make-up was to begin at 4pm, before being moved up an hour.

Due to scheduling issues the make-up was changed to begin with a first pitch at noon.

The ballfield used to be the home of the Southern Methodist University Mustangs from 1977-80. Reverchon is located in the Oak Lawn area of west Dallas. It lies along Turtle Creek and is adjacent to the Katy Trail.  The main entrance to the park is at Maple Avenue and Turtle Creek Boulevard.

Weekend Home Series with Texas Wesleyan

SAGU opens a three-game set against Texas Wesleyan University on Friday night at the Waxahachie Sports Complex.

The starting pitchers for the five home games this week hasn't been released yet.
