Waxahachie, Texas – May 17, 2012 – Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) held its annual commissioning service during chapel on April 18, 2012. This year, 130 SAGU students will travel to 27 countries as a part of the Mission TEN (To Every Nation) initiative that began in 2010.
The service opened with a flag presentation of the countries slated for the 2012 summer. Later, Southwestern Missions Association (SMA) gave each student missionary a Bible in the language of the country that he or she will visit. The service closed with a time of prayer for the student missionaries.
This summer, students will visit Argentina, Benin, southeast Asia, Brazil, northern Asia, Chile, Congo, East Africa, Ecuador, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Germany, Netherlands, India, Japan, Lithuania, Senegal, Scotland, Spain, Swaziland, Eurasia, Puerto Rico.
SAGU's summer 2012 Mission TEN trips will span 100 days. SMA began a "100 Days of Prayer" email campaign that highlights testimonies, pictures, personal needs, and prayer requests for the teams on the mission field.
"These teams battle spiritual attacks, sicknesses, traveling issues and many other unexpected problems," shared SAGU Missions Department Travel Coordinator Joshua Evans.
"As believers, we have the privilege to support our brothers and sisters in prayer, believing that God will accomplish His will--regardless of the challenges the students may face."
