SAGU professor chosen as one of Mastersincounseling.org's Top 99 professorsWaxahachie, Texas — September 23, 2013 — Masters in Counseling.org chose Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) professor Dr. Jeff Logue as one of the top 99 professors in 2013.

Dr. Logue shared his teaching philosophy, "if you give students the tools they need and the opportunities to practice what they have been taught, they will grasp hold of the material with a unique ownership and create their own teaching style. They will be successful."

Dr. Jeff Logue is the program coordinator for counseling ministries at SAGU and has been a full-time faculty member in the Counseling-Psychology department for more than 10 years. During this time he wrote "Porn in the Pew," which explores the relationship between pornography, sexual addiction and parenting issues.

In 1996, he graduated SAGU with a Bachelor of Science in pastoral counseling and a Master of Science in counseling psychology. After graduation, he opened his own private practice and worked for Dallas County as a mental health clinician. Logue's counseling practice helps couples overcome the damage of pornography through sound clinical interventions and based on biblical principles.

In 2003, he received his doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and was invited to come back to SAGU as a professor.

He expresses his gratitude to SAGU's counseling professors. He shared, "the professors played a significant role in my professional development as a faculty member. They mentored me and helped me become the teacher I am today."
