Dr. Loyd Uglow is a retired commander in the United States Naval Reserve. He currently serves on the board of elders of First Assembly of God in Waxahachie, Texas. In addition to his many duties, Dr. Uglow enjoys spending time with his family and gardening, as well as reading and writing. He is the author of Standing in the Gap, a book which covers military activities on the Texas frontier in the late nineteenth century, and two historical biographies for young people, Abraham Lincoln: Won’t You Ever Give Up? and Benjamin Franklin: You Know What to Say, Most recently, he is co-author of For the Whole World,a history of Southwestern Assemblies of God University, which was published in fall 2003.

Professor McElhany joined the faculty of Southwestern in 1997, after over twenty years of pastoral ministry. He is an ordained Assemblies of God minister and has served as Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Minister of Education. In 2003, McElhany co-authored For the Whole World: A History of Southwestern Assemblies of God University and the soon to be released, Faith and Fire: A History of the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God, 1905-2003. Other publications include “The Assemblies of God in Mississippi, 1900-1940,” Assemblies of God Heritage, Winter 1993 and Spring 1994. Papers and Presentations include: “As Harmless as Doves: Faith Healers and the Spread of Pentecostalism in Mississippi.” Southwestern Social Science Association Annual Meeting, New Orleans, LA, March 18, 1993, “A Christian Approach to Family Relations,” Professional Educators Seminar, Volkhov, Russia, March 2000, and “Pastoral Leadership,” Latvia Bible School, Ozolnieki, Latvia, July 2003.

Dr. Price is Adjunct Professor of History in the History graduate program at Southwestern and is the senior pastor of a multi-cultural church in Wheaton, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
His doctoral thesis, "Cotton Mather's Cosmology and the 1692 Salem Witch Trials," was the first doctoral thesis to thoroughly explicate Cotton Mather's theology in the context of the Salem Trials.
