God Guides and Provides

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way–Psalms 37:23

Every day I speak to people to whom God has given a vision, but they are afraid to step out in faith. If you are seeking God’s will, then trust in the hand that guides you. In my own life there have been many times when my husband, David, and I had to step out in faith. Our actions seemed foolish to many people, but we knew where God was leading. We planted a church in central Oregon and pastored there for several years. One day we began to feel God’s direction to end our time there and move across the country so that I could finish my master degree. We didn’t have a lot of money, but we knew God would provide. It had not even occurred to us how much it would cost in gas and hotels for the cross-country drive. We packed the Ryder truck and were ready for the drive the next day. That evening someone showed up on our doorstep and handed us a check. That check ended up being the exact amount it cost us in gas and hotels. This story serves as an example of the many times that God has provided for us. If God has given you a vision for your life, don’t be paralyzed by fear. Rejoice in the vision he has given.
