Pastor Scott and Kara Holmes serve as the Senior Pastors of Abundant Life A/G, in Shreveport, Louisiana, a church that has grown from 60 to 300 in just four years! Pastor Scott Holmes initially attended Southwestern for his undergraduate studies in 1980, continuing on to complete a Masters of Science degree in Practical Theology in May 2003.

Abundant Life A/G is there to serve a city in covenant with “The Church” in Shreveport to see those who are lost... found. It is a congregation that emphasizes building relationships, missions and community involvement. Some of the ministry areas that are available, include: Go Teams: emphasis is placed on door-to-door friendship and evangelism; food pantry: distributed over 13 tons of food last year; mission outreaches in local parks; missions trips: adopted focus fields and the development of relationships with national churches and pastors in places like Reynosa, Mexico, and Barnaul, Russia, School of Ministry, Life groups: Sunday night cell groups, Construction: currently adding over 7,000 sq. ft. to the facility to house a new Children’s sanctuary, Atrium and classrooms!
