Undergraduate Academic Scholarships
More Scholarships |
SAGU provides four levels of academic scholarships to incoming full-time students who meet specific criteria. Award eligibility is available to both first-time and transfer students and is awarded to those who meet the stated criteria and submit this application with documentation by the deadline.
Students receiving an academic undergraduate scholarship in fall 2005 or thereafter qualify for a continuing scholarship of the same amount if they maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and maintain continuous, fulltime enrollment.
All Regent Scholars are also eligible for consideration for a University Scholarship, which is a full tuition one-year scholarship. Only a limited number of Regent Scholars will be named University Scholars. Note the additional criteria and early deadline for University Scholarship consideration.
First Time Undergraduate Freshmen
The qualifications for all academic scholarships are a combination of points earned from your high school grade point average (GPA) and either your ACT or SAT score. The points assigned to your GPA and your test score are listed on the next page. If the school uses a scale other than the traditional 4.0, please have a school official convert and provide an equivalent measure.
First Time Transfer
If transferring more than 30 hours the qualification will be determined on cumulative college GPA and test scores. If transferring less than 30 hours the qualification will be based on high school GPA, as well as standardized test scores. If you are in mid-semester and have completed less than 30 hours at the time of application, your high school GPA will be used.
