Placement in Employment & Job Placement Rates

Institutions must make available to current and prospective students information regarding the placement in employment of, and types of employment obtained by, graduates of the institution's degree or certificate programs.  Institutions must identify the source of the placement information and any timeframes and methodology associated with it.

Under this provision, institutions are not required to calculate placement rates, but an institution must disclose any placement rates it calculates for the institution or any program.

SAGU does not place students in jobs and does not calculate or advertise placement rates as trade schools do. In addition, SAGU does not advertise job placement rates as a means of recruiting students to enroll.

However, SAGU Career Services does seek to assist students whenever possible with finding student employment while enrolled and full time employment after graduating.  The Career Services Office provides job postings and information to current students and alumni through databases accessed through the SAGU Career Services website .

Select graduates are highlighted on the Career Services website (Lions in the Field), indicating where they are currently employed.  Current students can view this information located on an electronic board in the Student Center.  The University magazine, SAGU Today also highlights select graduates in various publications.

If you have any questions regarding placement in employment, you may contact SAGU Career Services .
